Thanks. It's the fattest, thump-iest, Ludwig-iest kit I have ever owned. I just cannot get over how great it sounds.

Very, very sweet kit. One up two down is my favorite set up.

What kind of shells do these babies have?

I had a chance to play on another drummer's vintage Ludwig kit a few days ago and I noticed the shells were rather thick with no rerings - kind of like the 70's Slingerland 5-ply unimold shells I'm familiar with.

Anyway those drums sounded like the "Hammer of Thor"...I was very impressed...
