It's so bad, it's cool. If it had been its own finish, it might not be desirable. But the fact that it's such a cheesy version of the original Oyster Blue is what makes it cool.
I used to avoid the Oyster finishes because they were so closely associated with Ringo. I love Ringo, but I always thought it a bit goofy to emulate his kit. But now I have an original Oyster Blue kit, a new Black Abalone kit (which is very close to the original Oyster Black...) and I've got my sights on the bowling ball travesty listed above. It's too cool.
And there are definitely worse finishes than that one!
