I've not heard of it either, not that I'm the Wizard of Webz or anything... I couldn't find basic info from a 2nd party to learn a bit more. However, I did find a "gear" forum postings from 2007:

I picked up same set/color...except...I got two 16-16 FTS....(one had a little fade) in around early 1990s....Houston Percussion had it.......$500..plus ship...!..Jeff Ochletree Bought it...
