This era Gretsch drums nicknamed “stop-sign badge” (or “SSB” in vintage drum speak) for the 1970s era octagon-shaped brass manufacturer name badge. Name Band set, which remained unchanged over the years was made in 1961 and was manufactured through 1976. Referred to as the round badge in the 1960s and stop sign badge from 1970-76.

Wrap: Copper Champagne Sparkle; Wood plies: 6; maple with gumwood; manufactured by sub-contractor Jasper Wood Products, Jasper Indiana.
