I am trying to nail down the exact year of my Ludwigs. They have Blue/Olive "pointy" badge, serial number begins with 170 and is 7 digits. The serial number would indicate 1979, however the "pointy" badge supposedly was not used in 1979. The wrap is red cortex. I bought these used in 1979 and I believe were produced in 1977 or 78 but I can't find a record of red cortex being used those years. See attached pic-

They could be 1979 and have a pointy B/O badge. I have a Supra from 1979 with a pointy B/O badge. I think they discontinued the pointy badge sometime in later 1979. By 1980, they were all rounded corners.
