I would say the vast majority of people purchasing Gretsch kits in the 70's had other tom mounts installed on their kits. The Gretsch tom mounts of this period were abysmal at best.I have sen Gretsch kits with Ludwig,Slingerland;Tama and Rogers tom holders and brackets.I had Rogers Memriloc mounts and tom holders installed on it.( Hey I was 18 at the time and we didn't think of things like RIMS mounts as they didn't exist yet).

It wasn't till the 80's and the Gretsch got their L arm tom holders going that you could even consider using their tom mounts.

I se your kit has the meatl bass drum hoops - these are a dead giveaway to 70's kits.I have had a number of wrapped 70's kits and they all had metal bass drum hoops.

Hi and welcome demdrumbs, fellow Melbournian. Great kit you have there, love that finish, it looks to be in really nice condition too.

Hello, welcome.

Really like that snare stand.

Is it a Gretsch as well? Never seen anything like it.
