1970/72 Slingerland in Blue Agate

Acquired these drums from a guy who recently bought them from the estate of the original owner. I don’t think they ever left the owner’s home... still had a couple warranty tags attached.

They don’t seem to match any of the catalogue sets- maybe custom order? Sizes are 13/14/16/24. Came with hardware too.

Very nice! True that this is not a catalog kit from the early 70's. We need to remember that the catalog kits were only a starting point to show what was considered popular at the time. With rock n roll requiring more volume from drums, it's not surprising that your kit makes use of both larger rack toms and a larger bass drum. The 16" floor tom was, and is, a perfect size for almost all genres.
