1970 Ludwig Standard Guacamole Strata

I am the lucky second owner of this kit and just finished cleaning it up. It is a 20,12,14,14 that has survived with all the original stands and pedals. Thanks to the forum members that advised me on cleaning products and detailing techniques. The picture does not do justice to it's profound mojo. I'd play it more if I could stop staring at it.

I can see clearly why you are staring at it. It's a beautiful set and a beautiful wrap. Guacamole is an apt description. I might start calling mine blue raspberry wrap.

For the prices, these are really great sets because of the unique and striking wrap patterns and colors.

No doubt Dan, for the money, Standard sets have not only some of the coolest all-time wraps IMHO, but also shells and hardware are, for the most part, legit Ludwig quality.

Beautiful Standard kit! Guacamole Strata! I like it! I had the same outfit, but in Blue Mist. Prices have really been on the rise for these underrated kits. So much so, that buyers are pricing them higher than the regular Ludwig line! Enjoy your Standards!
