Hi everyone,

I'm in the market to purchase a 20, 12, 14 Ludwig downbeat kit, maybe in WMP or perhaps a sparkle...all original. Preferably early 70's b/o badge 3ply.

What kind of price am i looking at here?

Thanks guys!

They don't come up for sale that often, and when they do there's a huge variation in price. Honestly nothing between $800 and $2000 would surprise me, so I guess I'd say an average value of around $1400.

This beauty recently sold for $1000: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-1971-Ludwig-Red-Sparkle-Drum-kit-NO-RESERVE-12-14-20-/221131624841?pt=Vintgae_Drums_Percussion&hash=item337c78d189&nma=true&si=KS9pHz%2BgcnRFTy8LqevAIvexAaM%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Thanks,

Bill

I know where you can get my old gold sparkle kit, it's at Rockin Robin in Houston. They are asking $1,400, but I'll bet they would sell it for around $1,000. Here are some pics of the kit.

That's a great looking kit. He specified a b/o badge though.

I'm a keystone badge guy myself. The b/o badge tries too hard to be hip.

Thanks for sharing the pics.

Great! Thanks guys. I figured $1000 sounds about right.

Much appreciated!
