1969 Ludwig set-Trouble Pricing it.

Loading...

So I have a set of 1969 Ludwig classics. Really beautiful drums.

Chrome Snare, two toms, two floor toms, 22" kick drum. The second floor tom might be a 1970 but the wrap is the same. There is a little peeling on that one. The drums are in good condition. I also have 3 old pearl stands and cases for the toms and some older zildjian cymbals. I'm trying to sell the kit but I don't want to be asking an absurd amount for them or getting ripped off. I think they are worth a good amount and any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

in this market youd b lucky to ask and get 850 drums only

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Drums & cymbals together, (and because it is a desirable sky blue pearl finish,) I'd price them at $1200 to $1400 for the lot.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

I would agree with John's low end (so to speak), even though it seems the kit is unoriginal, having a mixed bag of badges, BD and FT being Blue/Olive, and your toms being earlier with painted interiors.

Still beautiful, desirable drums.

To maximize profit, sell the second FT and the cymbals separately.

For your own sanity, I suggest spending some time sifting through Ebay's Completed/Sold items for drums similar to each individual drum you've got. See what they've SOLD for... not just asking price. You'll find it adds up to $1000+ rather easily.

That, to me, is what they're worth.
