I have a 1969 Ludwig tom, 9" deep by 13" diameter, keystone badge, in super shiny condition up for sale.

The shell is in great shape, within 1/16th of perfect round. Sweet 3-ply mahogany maple construction with rock-maple re-rings. The bearing edges are in super condition.

The tom mount had been badly replaced, so the drum was properly patched and re-wrapped virgin (no tom mount) in shiny black. The tom can be mounted via a rim mount system, or a snare stand, or a tom mount could be installed as well.

The wrap is essentially new, very snazzy.

The chrome on the lugs is in astonishingly good condition, there's one lug that shows some scratches (see photo), and maybe a few discreet scratches on a few others but they mostly look new.

The top hoop is brand new and matches the bottom hoop, which is a used but also shiny replacement hoop. The bottom hoop shows one spot of rust and one area with scratches (see photos).

The muffler is a generic replacement, but it looks a lot like an original Ludwig.

The tom is slightly oversized, I'm guessing that's the way they were made back then, and it requires "classic fit" heads like Remo Classic Fit, Aquarian American Vintage, and some Evans. It comes with brand new Remo Ambassador Classic Fit heads top and bottom.

All and all a very sweet and new-looking 1969 Ludwig tom, ready to play and dazzle.
