Sorry, but I'm not an English man: do you mean the general adjustment - or the 'slipping over the tom arm' motion? I have used some steel polishing glaze to clean the metal clip that's inside the bracket and behind the fixing screw. Now it slipps again easily ...

I've a friend with that same Premier hardware. He says the same exact thing. Takes a month of Mondays to get it where you want it, but once there, stays. Wonderful restore!

Would love to see the gold foil kit...Thanks fishwaltz!

Sorry Ralf, I see you're in Germany...The design Ralf lends to time consuming "fiddling about" to quote The Who.

I guess that's why Keith Moon's drum tech got rid of the these tom arms and opted for the Rogers Swivo-matic ball & socket.

Ralf, I had the same trouble as you did with the rotation of each arm after loosening the clamping screw. The clip insert would pop out of the arm instead of rotating because it was binding metal on metal. Your fix sounds very effective to allow smooth rotation of the moving parts.

I applied white lithium grease on the "male" receiver clip and now the arms rotate freely and are much easier to use. Once everything is locked down its solid as rock. Looks fantastic, like chrome on a Chevy!!

What can you say about 60's tom arms, except frustratingly beautiful Excited

Thanks Drums2xs

You've got that right. Nothing like 'er with the hardware, slotted t-rods, and die-cast hoops, not to mention the kick-ass 14" tom and long arm t-rods on the bass drumm...
