Saw this on another forum...thought it really should be posted here.

Not trying to sell these...just surprised they are intact and with original heads.

Top of the price range but color and condition should net this seller close to what he wants...I,d likely pay that if i needed a good kit.

Hit like you mean it!!

A bit on the high side, but if it's as original as he says..... I would jump at them for sure!

And a colour I don't have yet, too!

The set is a nice one but at 400.00 is over price, its a common color gold sparkle..The price should be 300.00 maybe 325.00 tops.

But if the set was in a pearl wrap then 400.00 would be a good deal..Mikey

C'mon, guys: there are all these genuine vintage zipper bags included (I remember that I had the same one for my Star bass drum at that time) plus matching wooden snare drum plus original heads.

Even over here in Germany, where Star is appreciated only by a small number of vintage geeks, this would bring EUR 350 - 400.

To me it's a bargain. Thanx for sharing the offer with us!

I'd be strongly questioning whether that really is a 1967 kit. Ive always been of the belief that the silver round star badge came in around 1970? Check Ralfs star website

Not sure what the website says, but here's a page from '67 catalog:

Hi,

It's great to learn that my website is some kind of reference ... :)

But I just tried to put as much information together as possible (and I still learn news about Star ...) - so it may suit in some cases for reference - but definitely not all over.

Indeed, I indicated on my website (Timeline) the dates when a STAR badge appeared first.

So DaddyNowhere is right when he refers to TAMA's catalogue pages.

I still have my doubts that the round/ silver badge appeared in 1967 (that's why I put it to 1970), due to the other badges which are definitely older than the round/ silver one. It didn't make sense for STAR to put three to five of the early badges into the time 1965 - 1967 only. That's why I put the round/ silver one to (... approx. ...) 1970.

And: I have my doubts, too, that the TAMA catalogue website it correct concerning their timeline of STAR: any catalogues between 1968 and 1972 are missing still.

Cheers, Ralf
