Sweet is right. And perfect, and beautiful, andCool1

If insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, is it insane to practice?

They were covered in at least 1/8" of dust and I could not even tell what color they were.........

I had traded sight unseen for them in hopes of getting the snare into working order. But when I carefully wiped the dust from a small area and saw the finish, I was sure they would all clean up. There was no rust at all on them just the protective layer of years and years of dust.

I did have to acquire some parts, all of which are original era parts except the hoops which I had made and went so far as to have period correct inlay cut to complete the project.

Y'know what I love about the old Slingy Glitters ? If they were kept in decent care, their fade is so nice and rich. Old blues, reds, purples...they just fade dark and deep, really luscious looking with age....

Nice job.

Great looking set. Might I ask if it was a deal when you purchased it?

Thanks for the kind words. I got a fair shake on the trade I made for them.

The main investment was time on research for the correct parts and lots of detailing. Of course that comes with the territory.
