1966 Rogers WMP Dynasonic/BR

Loading...

Here's a pic of my darn near MINT 1966 Rogers Dynasonic in beautiful WMP. This is the exact model Rogers snare drum that so many of us drooled over, in addition to the rest of Buddy's kit, on the cover of "Swingin' New Big Band", which came out in 1966.

Rogers was, without a doubt, THE drums to play/own during this period. Beautiful craftsmanship and attention to detail prevailed... and the wood Dynasonic was the top of the line in their snare drum line-up.

This particular one is all original, and the WMP is still vividly white. I do gig on this drum, and absolutely love it. Rogers wood Dynasonics are relatively rare, and WMP is still the most sought after wrap, in large part due to Buddy Rich and Louis Bellson.

That is killer. Can you tell the story of this drum? I would love to hear. Is this the two owner only Dyna?

Thanks for sharing.

WMP is a beautiful color, its kind of surprising there arent more of them out there.

I want......... a 64 or 65 Dynasonic in Red Wine Ripple, but I seriously doubt thats going to happen. The recent one on ebay had reall issues and was too much of a risk.
