1966 Ludwig Super Classic Blue Sparkle

Loading...

Repainted the hoops, replaced missing inlays (not vintage Ludwig). Reglued wrap seam on floor tom. Filled in some 'flea bites' on rack tom bearing edges with an epoxy wood putty. Polished out some extensive scratching on rack tom wrap. Reunited the kick drum with a 60s Ludwig reso head, and replaced a missing kick T-rod. The snare pictured is a B/O badge acrolite.

My original plan was to fix it up and sell it, but I realized I sure do like having her around.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
