$3000 in today's economy? Good luck! $1200 is about average......
[COLOR="Purple"]Exactly....I mean, some folks get their "values" by looking at online vintage drum stores....which would regularly pricetag even the most basic and common old Luddy or Slingy kit at over $2G...and one in a rarer wrap for around $3G.
...or by having a professional appraisal company put a number on it for insurance value.
Both of those sorta numbers...
...have NOTHING to do with true market value....just the pricetag thrown on by a purveyor who is in no rush to move their kits out the door (hey, maybe SOME idiot will actually BUY it)....or by a business which makes it's rep on giving appraisals which sound good to their client's ears....
$900-1000 would be a very fair offer to make on that kit...if it is really mint, OK, maybe $1100....and quite honestly, in this teetering (global) economy...a seller should be really glad to get that.
