Sweet looking drum, has it got a muffler? Aren't they normally placed
in the next panel from the badge?

Slingerland's WMP during this time period was very classy looking! Yes, the tone control/muffler was normally installed in the panel just left of the badge. Possibly a special order?

If you'll notice the tone control knob it is to the far left barely visible in this pic. Either special ordered or a Monday or Friday drum ! :)

That is a beautiful drum. FYI I have 5 Slingerland snare drums. 3 have the muffler to the left of the badge. 2 have the muffler opposite the badge.
