1965 ludwig snare help

Loading...

Hey guys! I have this 1965 Ludwig piccolo snare someone gave me a few years back and I was wondering how I'd go about restoring it. I have the rims and shell and the snare on the bottom for it, but none of the tension rods. Would I just have to get some square nuts at the hardware store for holding the rods in the lugs or should I be getting something specific? Any help would be appreciated. I want to play this thing!

Why not just go to Gibralter Parts and order the short tension rods?

John

Too many great drums to list here!

You need to find the very short square nuts that came w/ the piccolos. The top of the nut was flush w/ the lug. (In the meantime, use the shortest swivel nut you can find, even if it sticks above the lug a little).
