Okay not much of a restore as it was in pretty good shape to begin with. Just a complete strip down bath, polish the chrome, paint the hoops, wax the shells job. But a pretty sweet score though. I saw this monster frankenstien kit listed on Craigslist for $400.00 with roto toms double bass etc... and I saw one extra tom had a B.O. Badge so I decided to go give it a look. When I got there I noticed that part of the kit had keystone badges so I swooped up everything.
After sorting it all out I realized I had a full matching Club Date from 65! Plus some other goodies. The rack tom and floor tom had date stamps, It came with a beautiful looking and sounding 68' acrolite (also date stamped) with case, The original cowbell and cymbal arm plus a 60's Ludwig Throne (think the actual seat is a 70's)...oh and a pair of Ludwig standard hi-hat cymbals!(that look cool but sound horrible)...The only ding on the whole deal was that a previous owner did the dreaded Diamond plate install on the kick drum but she'll be a players kit in my small studio anyway. Okay enough blabbering here are some pics!...oh and sizes 12, 14, 20
