It has very little fade, as you can see no seam lifting, LOL , and the scarf is very nice as are bearing edges , also a few micicro dings and scratches very very few! you have to look close , very nice example of 50 year old drum in great shape,,,,having issues with pic of badge side too big ill have to reduce and add later.. btw, look at this anomaly of the badge added on inside ,very different, what were they smoking at Ludwig that day..cool bit of Ludwig history nob hardware thanks for looking

That badge is hilarious! You never know what you're gonna get! I have a vista where the badge on the bass is slightly off center.lol. On a side note, you wouldn't happen to have a 16 in oyster black do ya?

Have seen the "dual" badges on a few drums of this era and also have a couple. My understanding is that when they drilled for the vent, the wood broke out, and the grommet would not hold, thus adding the badge as a spacer on the interior. However it would mean removing the badges to actually verify.

First no 16 in ft sorry, and I also notice there is no impression on badge it's a blank so that means Ludwig also ran them through ther own presses .. Theory here
