I just couldn't resist striping the black paint off of the floor tom. i worked all afternoon yesterday and this morning. I finally got all the black paint off and it looks fabulous! What to do now?

If I am reading this post correctly, you found a kit needing a floor tom. You had the floor tom, but offered to sell, but now need it? If no money has changed hands and nothing has been agreed upon yet, send the member a PM telling him that you changed your mind about selling and explain the circumstances. Obviously when you offered to sell, it was an orphan that you didn't need. Now that you found a kit and have the need, I'm sure that the member could be understanding.

We have been communicating via email. There never was a deal made. I offered it to him and her never said "I'll take it" He understands, but now i have it stripped and the WMP looks pretty dang good. I sorta hate to wrap such a nice looking drum, but then again, any vintage luddy Ft is extremely high on ebay.

That is why im confused on what to do. At any rate, I am going to go ahead and polish the lugs, brackets, ect........

My girlfriend suggested I sell it to you for $50 plus shipping, so you can finish your kit. She said I should let someone else have a killer deal, because I have ran across so many great deals lately. The parts on the drum are worth at least $200.

I saw one restored go for $450 on ebay earlier this week. Like I said earlier the badge and muffler are worth $70 on ebay.

I have taken the floor tom apart. I was getting ready to restore the floor tom also. I might go ahead and restore it and then see what you think about it, or would you rather restore it yourself?

I am into restoring also. I am extremly intrigued with this floor tom. Theres one on ebay now for 635. Im not in this for making money though. Its just fascinating.

I'm not mad...just a little confused. I clearly stated that I was interested in this floor-tom. It is needed to complete a 1964 WMP Set. I just wanted you to know I am no longer interested as this has been an 18 day process and you are now flip flopping on your offer. Thanks and good luck re-wrapping.:)

All I can say here is, you should have just took it when I lowered the price to fifty instead of asking for detailed pics. The badge and muffler are worth more than 50. Anyway, I just happened across the BDP kit that needs a FT so..................No flip flopping just a change in circumstances. I had put pics on the forum the day after I got it.

I'm all good with it man. I just wanted to make it clear I was ready to buy a while ago and I stated I wanted to send you the money. Like I've said before....good luck on the re-wrap.

I finally decided to finish my floor tom today. I repainted the nasty interior with the BM correct white paint today. Tomorrow I will reinstall all the polished lugs and hardware and polish the rims and put the heads and badge on it. About a month ago i bouught a cloth polishing wheel and put it on one side of my bench grinder. I got some polishing compound for polishing gold and sliver and it worked really well on the lugs, leg brackets, tensions rods, and legs. It's gonna look fabulous y'all!
