1961 Ludwig finish question

Loading...

Hi all!

I'm new here, but I've been around drums for awhile. I have a question. Could someone please pinpoint for me what finish my drums are here? The kit is date stamped and it was made in '61. I've heard it's some sort of oyster pearl, but nothing I see really matches up.

I'm looking to sell these two drums, and I need to know the exact finish. Thanks in advance!

I tried to take a picture of the badge, but it was a little blurry.

Black Diamond Pearl. That's good to hear.

Thanks, they are in good condition. I should explain, the batter head is removed because I tried taking a picture of the date stamp, but it came out blurry. I also haven't cleaned them in awhile, which I will do before I sell.

My only qualms with selling them are that a lot of people look for more than just two drums. Oh well.

Thanks for your help!

that looks like an 18" bass drum? What do you want for them, the way they are?
