Im wondering about this cymbal....
It was listed locally as a 16" cymbal....
The seller lives close by, so I stopped by with my main (go to) 16" crash Cym & std/stxs, thought to listen to them both....see if they work together..
However once in my hands, I noticed the 60s stamp,..but it seemed small & heavy..
So I layed it over my 16" & it was smaller (15" to be exact) ..
Also I brought my digital scale with me & it weighed in at 1275grams.!
I passed on it...!
Then thought, this is a 15" BOTTOM HAT cymbal..
From the worn area around the Center hole looks like it's been on the bottom of a Hihat std..
*My main question is...
60s Zild 15" bottom hat.....is 1275grams about right for a med to heavy hat..?
Or could it be part of a set of stand up, crash cyms (using the leather straps)..?
I only have 12" 13" & 14" (but the 14s are paper thin),...
*My go to hats are the 60s 13"s ...600gr Top & 900gr Bottom.
Great shape, just aged..
Thxs, Rims..
