I believed this kit was a 1963 because of the 1" reinforcement ring inside the shells, but was unaware of them producing a 5pc until a couple years later. The site I saw said after 63, the size of the reinforcement moved to 1 5/8". Any ideas or knowledge you guys have would be appreciated. I am strongly considering selling this set, therefore I am taking all offers I get for the next week or so. I just never play them anymore. I am in a rock band and whenever I get a chance to play jazz with people I have a gorgeous 60's Gretsch kit that I use. These things were dusty when I snapped the pictures, but have been case kept since I've owned them. The set itself is in very good condition considering, but does show some scuffs and what not. I used to transport and play it every Sunday night for about 2 yrs so it's bound to happen. The sizes are 14 for snare and 12, 13, 16, and 20 for toms. The snare strainer was replaced before I purchases it with a vintage Ludwig one, but still sounds amazing. I had a guy offer me 400 for the snare when I was playing it out regularly, so it must make an impression. I'm not really sure what to ask for a price so I'll see waht you guys have to say.
