I received this snare with a completely scratched/ruined duco finish so put my woodworking veneering skills to use.

The veneer, a screw or two, and the badge grommet are not original. And a previous owner wrote "bottom" on the inside, I guess it must have been Pepe.

Chrome is in good shape, a little peeling on bottom of bottom rim, and some scuffs/scratches

The date stamp is a little blurry, best I can make out is Feb 22 1960. but badge is chicago, so might be blurry enough it's 'fifties?
