1960's chrome Gretsch snare identification???

Hey Rick,

Thanks for the awsome info!! It has round slotted screws holding the mounts, except the screws holding the replacement throwoff...:( .

I am new to this forum and not sure how it all works yet, but will try and get some photos uploaded. I really appreciate your expertise, like I said, this drum is a player but it is nice to just have some info/history etc....

Rufwrld provided me with some pictures to post. The snare is a brushed aluminum finish, not chrome. This is consistent with other Model 4106T drums of that time frame. Had it been chrome, I would not have had a good explanation for it.
