1960s Blue Sparkle Ludwig Club Date 14"x14" Floor Tom

Loading...

This is a club date model. The tom is fine, but wrap is a little rough. I have the hoops, lugs and leg mounts also and I will include those. I don't have any legs for it, though. 14x14. Prime candidate for a rewrap.

If you want her, she's yours for $80.

Sold to kevins, right?

Nope.........

Kyle Swanson and I have had a few PMs and emails last night and today.

I left the ball in his court as to what to say to the Forum.

I'm barely able to navigate within the Forum at present... it's either website construction, or my computer is wacky.

Navigation on other websites seem to be OK, but anyway.....

I'm gonna sign off for now, and be back later this evening.

Peace

Kevin

There was an immense amount of interest in this drum. I had 5 inquiries about this drum via PM, two of which arrived in my inbox within two minutes of posting my ad. The first of these two inquirers was kevins... the second was the buyer. I emailed both parties information about the drum and a photo at the same time. kevins replied and said that he was heading out for the night and the second inquirer, the buyer, was eager to make a deal and offered me more than my asking price. I accepted his offer and he paid immediately.

In retrospect, I realize that I did wrong by kevins. He was the first one to PM me about the drum, therefore, he should have had first dibs on it. Since I accepted an offer to sell the drum to a buyer who has already paid me, I am obligated to sell the drum to him. I've emailed kevins with my apologies and he's forgiven me and I believe that there are no hard feelings. I would also like to publicly apologize to him here.

I've been burned like kevins was before and it's frustrating to say the least. I've sold and bought many, many things on this and other forums and from now on, I will be implementing a strict first come, first 'crack at it' policy. To those reading this, please let this situation serve as a reminder of the seller's etiquette that should be followed on this forum as well as all of the other forums on the internet which you may be selling on.

That is nearly a 100% disclosure of what transpired. Thanks for that Kyle....

Just a couple of things more....

I responded to the for sale ad on this thread and by PM.

I received a PM saying :

"E-mail me at: xxxxxxxxxxxxx and we can work out the details."

I believe we have a deal at this point?

I did email him, and since I had to leave for the house for a bit, this was my email :

"Hey !!

I have to scoot out the door like right now, but I'll be back around ten est.

Not a biggie, but if you have a couple of pics, could you send them?

I'll take a look, and talk to you a little later.

Thanks !!

Kevin "

I did email back at ten, asked a couple of questions about how complete the drum was, as I wanted to get my shopping list started, asked if PayPal was OK for payment, and got an email back around eleven stating the drum had been sold.

Kyle did apologize, said he felt badly for doing what he did, and even offered to sell me a '68 Acrolite which he said I could basically set my own price on.

I have two Supras, two Acrolites, and two WFL snares, so I'm pretty happy with that level of Ludwig/WFL items for the moment, so I thanked him for his offer, and declined.

I had already talked to Kyle by email today, saying I had forgiven him for the deal, and hoped he would post the scenario at the Forum so others could learn from this. I just wanted to include all the details about the deal.

I was very happy to see his public apology here and I'm publicly accepting it.

And there are no hard feelings Kyle. I think you're a stand-up guy and would happily do business with you again.

Shoot, who knows, I might end up with a drum next time..... just kiddin' man ......:)

See, my sarcastic humor is back... that's a good sign.... (you can take that target off your back now).

As I said to you earlier today,

"We are all human, and everyone is deserving of forgiveness by his fellow man."

Peace, really...

Kevin

Bigger men than me. Just goes to show you, we all have room for growth. I've just got to figure out how to contain the middle girth growth and channel that to character growth.
