A vintage cocktail kit. Cool! Even though there seems to have been a market for cocktail kits over the decades, in my 73 years I have seen them being used on a gig perhaps 2 or 3 times. Most cocktail kits tend to have a smaller snare drum attached directly to the floor tom/bass drum to meet the original goal which was an ultra compact easy to use, easy to set up kit taking up minimum space in bars and cocktail lounges. Most were intended for playing while standing. This setup is obviously intended for sitting. I have even seen a few which eliminated the snare altogether and had snares under the top head of the floor tom. Of course the weakness of that approach was the need to release the snares to get a tom sound. Was this kit referred to as a Be Bop kit by Slingerland?
