1951 slingerland snare? Last viewed: 52 minutes ago

I don't have a picture, but was wondering what an estimated value of this snare might be. The snare is in "decent" condition. Marine white pearl. All original hardware.

I believe its 6.5x14'' Not sure about much more, just wondering what might be a "safe" amount to pay.

Id say its in good condition, but not mint thats for sure. I'll try to find out more.

Are there any holes that should not be in the drum? Does it have a "clam shell" strainer and butt or the 3-point strainer? Is "Slingerland Radio King" stamped into the top hoop?

Let us know. I know a fair bit about early 50s Slingerland snare drums, but there are plenty good folks here that could tell you all about it.

That's the one. This forum has me wanting to collect a few snares. I can get it for about 200

For $200, I'd definitely be checking it out. If it's a solid shelled drum, that price is a steal.
