I'm selling this beautiful snare drum.
1950's Chicago badge (a little bent. Was in a middle school)
6.5x14 (might be 7, I'll double check this)
Original gold sparkle wrap
original bottom hoop
Replaced top hoop
repaired the pivot screw on 3-point strainer. works now :)
Shell is in great shape with one small extra screw hole under strainer. see picture.
all around, a great snare in really nice shape.
I'll take any reasonable offer.

Oddly interesting snare. The badge would date it no earlier than 1960. Muffler knob is not correct. What's the distance between extra hole and the one directly below it?
Never play it the same way once.

Yeah, iguess i was thinking "chicago" was 1950's. I don't know about the knob. It was on it when I got the drum. The extra hole is from a p-83 that was on the drum when I got it.

It looks like the badge on this drum has the curl in the "S" which would put it between 1956 and '59.

What other parts did you have to add or replace?

Hello,
Replaced parts are the top hoop, tension rods. The three point strainer was repaired.
