I think this is an example of a set that should just be cleaned and left as is. Usually, I like to clean, buff and polish everything, but something about this set gives off a special vibe. Nice score!

Notice the early 60's Slingerland strainer. Gretsch used the three point (967) in the 30's. Probably replaced the original. Those bass lugs are wild!

I don't see any extra holes on the snare drum. Any chance they used Slingerland strainers during this era?
