1938 Leedy-complete set- Worth???

Loading...

Hello,

I have a complete 1938 Leedy drum set with the original Zildjian Cymbals and was wondering how much it is worth? Everything is in great shape. Animal skin heads, original bass drum head beater and felts for cymbals. The snare is stunning. I'll try to post some pictures soon. Just trying to get a ball park figure.

Thanks.

Thanks for responding. The toms are double headed and tacked on. The snare and BD have lugs. The drums are black with the fade into a yellow center. Really cool. Cymbals are very small and thin.

I'll try and upload some photos soon.

drumfunky so i think you are saying they are painted black gold duco drums, go to the photo gallery and look at my double bass slingerland radio king set, and that will show you what black gold duco looks like, we still need a pic, it would erase all guess work out of the equation.

Yes, that is what they look like only a darker black and more of a gold color in the middle.

I'll post some pictures in the next couple of days.

Sorry for taking so long. These drums were hidden in my garage pretty good. Here is the snare and the cymbals. One cymbal is a Leedy, 2 are original Zildjians from Turkey and the 4th is marked Stanople???

Any ideas of what these are worth?

Thanks!!!

your snare drum is a leedy broadway standard black gold duco, with box lugs, at least $300.00 and up! also inside of the drums stamped inside the shell are numbers example 3810 this is the year and month they were made!!take pics of the rest of the kit please??? the stanople cymbal was a 2nd line cymbal made by zildjian and it is drom the late30's also monte take clear pictures of the stamps on the cymbals and post them in the cymbal section, drumaholic or jaye, may assist you there on the age and value!
