Hi,

I just picked up a Leedy Spartan BD from the 1930s. 14 x 28. Single tension and the original calf heads were not maintained properly.

Collar is uneven on both heads.

Flesh hoops are a bit warped.

Hoops are warped a bit- maybe 1/2" to 3/4" off from flat.

I'd like to use everything rather than replacing things if I can. What is the best way to try to re-set the collar? Should I soak the heads up to the collar (meaning that the flesh hoop and tucked portion stay dry?), or do I need to soak everything and re-tuck?

Should I worry about the warped flesh hoops and counter hoops? If left alone, won't this just make the collar uneven again?

Thanks!
