1929 Black Beauty Snares

Loading...

The snares on my drum buzz forever and overpower the closest toms. Everything appears to be in order. The strainer is just under as tight as it will go. The wires are evenly spaced on the head, the resonant head is a little tight, but loosening or tightening the head doesn't make any difference. I'm hoping those are just bad snares on there. Otherwise, the drum sounds fantastic.

Comments and ideas?

Thanks.

Well I don't know how serious the buzz is but personally I like that, and I like it when I hear it on recordings. If it's really bugging you then try some new quality snares on it, otherwise it's maybe the acoustics of the room your set up in.

Thanks for the reply. I like buzz too but this is overbearing and sounds very unnatural.
