1927 Super Ludwig 5x14 White Enamel

Loading...

While this drum has been professionally refinished in it's original color, it sports the solid shell, stamped "WHITE" inside. All the lugs and clips are in tact, and it sounds just wonderful! The only real "flaw" this drum has is one of the snare strands is missing. Been searching for a set of gut snares for it.

I believe this example to be somewhat rare. If anyone else has one, or knows of one, please let me know.

Enjoy!

Hi schemegeggie,

don't know much about early Ludwig and Ludwig gear or how rare it is.

But believe it or not there is the exact same drum on display in the local

drum shop in my home town of Adelaide Australia!

The guys in the shop say it is 1928,it has a natural mahogany looking finish, may have had the enamel stripped at some stage but is definitely

the same model drum.

Needless to say it is not for sale! Great drum, enjoy man!!

Cheers Stevo.
