1927 Ludwig Professional - Updated Pics

Loading...

Thanks to everyone for the help in the identification of my 1927 Ludwig Professional Snare. Here are some updated pics taken after I cleaned it up and added new skins and tension rods. It looks great, sounds amazing and is great to play as well.

Thanks again!

Why did you waste you time on something that old? I can get a new Rockwood snare on CL for $50.

Well since you already took the time, I guess I should tell you it looks very nice. Great job bringing another back alive! Excited

I have the same drum, same size, mahogany one piece shell,Metal work on mine is Ludwig pretend Gold plate, apart from the rims which are now Ludwig single flange nob because the last owner changed to modern hoops and threw away the gold single flange originals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,?.Its a wonderfull sounding drum.I use Evans J1 for the batter and a Evans hazy 300 as the snare.Just listen to those wonderfull single flange rim shots.
