1920's ludwig pioneer

Loading...

The drum on the left is an old ludwig pioneer. The snares on it look like they are made of leather. I heard that they were made from pig intestines. Does anyone know if that is true? Don't mind the japan Gracy on the right.

Bigger and more detailed photos would help....gut snares were made from intestines, older drums like Duplex had this reddish type cloth...
