So does anyone know where to buy 15 inch metal or wood hoops to put on a 15x12 slingy marching snare? I have a idea for converting a marcher to a bass drum for small jazz gigs....anyone here ever done this? I see that Canopus drum company manufactures 15 inch bass drums and they got the inital idea by using 15 inch marchers! thought it would be a cool idea.

Yikes, this is a small BD. The problem with the vintage snare rims is they aren't very wide and would be hard to attach a pedal to. Might work depending on your pedal?

One of my "alternative" ideas:
Mounting a suspension-rim backwards on the drum, to create a platform to attach your pedal to.

So that you can even raise your drum if needed / wanted.

Ive heard of this trick..very interesting...Still looking around for different ideas..I may just wait it out and get some 15 inch vintage hoops from ebay when the pop up again. and then use some Dw clip on SPURS...
