14x18 Slingerland Bass Drum Oyster Pink

Loading...

1965 14x18 Slingerland kick drum in oyster pink pearl. The bd is in excellent condition. All original hardware, no extra holes, only some mild pitting in the hardware and very light rust on the t-rod threads. There is a spot about the size of a penny where some chrome flaked a bit on the tom mount. Wrap is excellent, with only a minor scuff here or there, original inlays in both hoops each with about a small 1/4" piece missing. Paint on the hoops is in nice shape with little pedal rash. Edges are smooth and original, though it looks as if someone used a little wood filler in few spots. Has Slingerland logo heads, though I'm not sure they are original to the drum or not. $500 shipped to your door, or I'll consider trade for a pre-60s RK snare.

Cool drum!

Head is probably original.

I have seen quite a few Slingy drums with wood putty added........

I think they gave the workers free reign........if they saw a open area, they were told to glop some putty in there.

Thanks for the comments Blair! I too have seen a fair share of slingys with putty on the edges, always figured it was the previous owner who had done it though...
