14" Ludwig knock-off Japanese floor tom by who??

Loading...

Hello would anyone know anything about this orphaned 14" floor tom

The lugs are very similar to Ludwig classics only without the lines

I have not run into any other Japanese drums with this type of lug before ?

I know that Kent also makes a lug very similar to the Luddy classic (also with no lines)

But these are not those, and the drum is without question Japanese (Asian mahogany)

Hello Mikey777,

Thanks for the reply, I have seen Westwood but not Northwood

I am glad to read that these lugs are likely Pearl

As much as I like them, if the hole spacing is the same

I may switch them out with some Pearl "Slingerland copy" lugs

as they would match a little better with the Star version Slingerland copy lugs

on the rest of this Star three piece combo

I would love however, to sometime find a full kit that uses these Ludwig spin-offs
