Checked out your hi hat. Very clean, just like you described in your original post. Was it easy to remove the Spur-Lok piece from the stand you purchased and installed on yours? I'm thinking that you only had to drive the friction pin out to remove it, correct?

Hey Mark. Yes it was easy. Just grabbed the pin with pair vice grips and gently tapped the grips with a hammer until the pin came part way out then just pulled the pin the rest of the way out with my hands. After cleaning and polishing the pin and spur-lok device I put the spur-Lok in the heel plate of my stand, slide the pin through then tapped it gently again with a hammer until it was in. Looks like it's always been there.

I didn't buy a whole other stand. Just a heel plate that had the spur-lok in it.

Glad you were able to find just the heel plate. Excellent job. Well done!
