I always wonder this as well. The copyright date on the '60 Ludwig catalog is 1959. So I think the last of the transition badge snares like this might be considered Jazz Festivals. Probably just as much strength for the other side of the discussion as well though.

Yes, looking at the '60 catalog (1959) does say it is the Jazz Festival. Thanks for pointing that out!

I have a Leedy 1958 Black Diamond Pearl snare drum, very similar to Ludwig one in the photo. It is part of the 4pc. kit.
