Just puttering around the internet and my local classifieds and these babies caught my eye.. Pretty dull and aesthetically unappealing, but a rare bird never the less and in great condition, except for the missing hoop inlay, and one set of T-rods and claws.. Priced pretty decently too, and best offer takes them ! Who's got the cojones to make one ? ..Lol ! Anyone know how long Ludwig manufactured this finish ?

Just curious.. This thread should be fun ;)

Jeff-- It's a legit Ludwig wrap alright.. I don't see the badges either , but he mentions that they are blue olive, so they must be there, or long gone.. Who knows.. Here's a link to pic of one with concert toms..

Hence the rareness of this kit..Barley found, and easily overlooked. ;)

For a few years Ludwig was putting the tom mounts directly opposite the badges. If these are like that then the way these are set up you wouldn't see the badges in any of those pictures. The bass drum is definitely missing the badge though. Wouldn't be my first choice of a color.

it is a legit wrap. I had a kit like that (but 24-12-13-16) a few years back. It was a great sounding 6-ply, but I never took it out because in the end I really didn't like the color. And because of the color, even if they are rare, those are not worth too much money :(

I'm pretty sure this was a formica finish. Looks like the faux wood dash panels on my dads '79 ford.

I like Drums...
