'57 Slingerland Gene Krupa Deluxe 1-N

Hey Fellas,

I posted my kit up here, but guess it got moved by the admins because I put more than one pic up. Just throwing this back on under the gallery. I scored on this beautiful, complete '57 Slingy kit with matching 1-ply snare in fantastic, un-molested shape. Got a great deal, too! I'm a happy guy.

Wow! THAT is my dream kit.

Hey Quest...if you ask me...this kit has the perfect mix of 1950's vintage mojo and reliable hardware for gigging. My '49 Leedy kit has a hoop mount tom holder and hoop mount spurs, which are cool, but I had to add a 2nd set of spurs on the back of the bass drum to stabilize it and prevent it from creeping while playing, plus I'm afraid the tom holder will fall if I gig it too often. I usually leave that kit setup at home. This Slingy kit is definitely sweet and that snare sounds fantastic! I could not pass it up. I hope you get yours someday!
