I am afraid that you might need to get some bigger drums! Wow, that must be fun to play. In my case, I might not be able to reach that rack tom though. Very nice.

Those 6-ply maple shells are some of the best sounding and very resonant drums that Ludwig ever made. That kit must be a ton of fun to play. I owned a 3-ply maple w/re-rings kit in black cortex and I loved the sound of them. I gigged that kit hard for ten years, cortex is indestructable! It looked as good after 10 years as it did the day I bought it.

Enjoy your drums... very cool kit. Love the 402.

John

PS - Put a head, hoop and tension rods back on the bass drum. Cut out the center of the head to open the drum up again, but keep a head and hoop on the drum. It'll eventually go out of round if you leave it open (no head or hoop,) like that long enough.

Thanks for all the compliments!

@Purdie - I am working on getting parts to complete the kick - ts & claws, hoop and head.

I bought the 18" from one seller on CL and the 15", 20" and 26" from another on CL.

They are all b/o badges and fairly close in numbers.

The 26" is how I got it except that I removed a MIJ tom bracket. I also removed a Premier tom mount from the 15".

The 18" and 20" are void of any extra holes... and are thunderous! =)

Just got a 26" hoop (w silver sparkle inlay) on FeeBay for $12.99 plus shipping - $29.60 total!

I will need to sand it, tape off the inlay and repaint it but I've done that before.

I've since picked up a 10 x 14 tom and a 16 ft.

So he's a pic of it using the 14, 16, 18, 20, 26.

I had a blast playing them today!!!!
