Slingerland Bicentennial full set

Does anyone have any information on a Slingerland Bicentennial set? Wrapped in the red, white, and blue sparkle. Dad has a set in his garage and he can't find much info, more specifically a value....

They pop up on ebay every now and then... typically listed somewhere between 1,000 and 2,000 dollars... I can't remember ever seeing the ending price on a full set.

It's tough to throw out a number without having an idea on what all is included, stands, pedals, etc. and what is the condition of the set.

Last red, white and blue drum that sold was a mounted tom that went for $225.

Very cool set to own... congrats.

Not a Guru... just interested..

The Bicentennial kits don't come up often. Most of those that I've seen aren't in very good condition. However, attached are pictures of one kit that sold on eBay for only $821 on 11-13-08. Very nice!

There was a guy I saw with one set up at one of the beaches around San Francisco. Guy was soloing for tips I wanted to offer him money for the set but it was kinda his meal ticket. It was pretty beat buy looked awesome in the setting sun light.

I sold mine about 2 years ago. I got $1500 for mine but they were in very nice shape w/ no extra holes or mods.

Beautiful kit, (as are ALL of yours, Steve)! I'm guessing that Slingerland didn't manufacture too many of their Avante kits in that particular wrap.
