Your info on Slingerland is fabulous, but my eye sight is not. Could someone tell me when the COW with re rings was introduced, and were they a maple shell or m/p/m 3 ply?

Per Slingerland historian Dr. Carl Wenk, chrome on wood (COW) was first offered on marching drums in 1968 and on kit drums starting in 1970. It was available till the end of the Niles era in '86. This finish is found on 3-ply and 5-ply drums.
