Hi guys!
Sound Kings are not a common find over here in the UK, but I picked this one up recently on E-bay. There wasn't any major work needed (or so I thought!) For some reason, someone had attached blue tape around the centre where the indented detail is. This was the kind of foil, sticky tape that's REALLY hard to remove. It took lots of careful peeling! Then I was left with a sticky residue around the drum where the blue sticker was. I removed this by rubbing WD-40 oil on each section, waiting 5 minutes, then rubbing it off with a cloth. I'm really please with how it came out! The only other thing I did was replace the old rusty strainer. First pic shows the blue strip and strainer, the other pics are how it looked after.
