Default 1960's Cleveland Rogers Holiday 4 Piece kit with Snare and Cocktail Conversion

I bought this kit less than a year ago and quite frankly, it's really in too good of condition to gig 2 or 3 times a week like I do so I am selling it. It's in exceptionally good condition and I feel it would be much more appreciated by a collector than by a common player like myself. I have not gigged this kit once since I bought it and it has been in my clean dry studio since I bought it.

I am asking $2500 and that includes shipping in the lower USA at that price although I would much prefer a pickup for the reasons outlined in the web page (click the link below).

It's a pretty high price for any Rogers kit but it's a pretty special configuration (cocktail conversion) and for the person specifically looking for this kit (if there is such a person) and considering the condition, I'm hoping it's a sellable price. I'm open to a reasonable offer.

Click here for the whole story and pictures.

I'll put it on eBay and Craigslist after you guys look at it. Please feel free to comment. And, don't sugar coat it.

Lovely kit. There is no harm throwing out a number for it,you,ll see very soon by the response if its out of line.I doubt anyone here or on most DRUMMERS forums will pay it.Maybe half in todays economy, but ebay has people glued to it daily so you just might find that player who has to have it

I was thinking more like $1500 as well. Maybe as low as $1000. Still, like you said. If I find the right buyer who really wants this configuration....

The truth is, I bought it to gig in the cocktail config. I do a lot of gigs where we have 2 drummers and a cocktail setup would be perfect. And, this is no chintzy cocktail setup with a 10" snare and 8" tom. It's a real full sized cocktail kit. I only decided to sell it when I realized what excellent condition it was in.

I would simply gig it and destroy the collectivity before I would sell it cheap.
It just seems a shame to do it to this kit. Plus, I have the new '61 Ludwig I am restoring. I'll be playing that in a couple weeks.

And,I bought another Rogers kit a couple days ago. It's a mid '70s and it's been re-wrapped in Champagne Sparkle. Virgin bass and I'll use a rim mount attached to the cymbal stand for the rack tom.

Much more a "players" kit since it's been changed and re-wrapped.

I have more kits than I can play and I'm always looking at a new one to buy. With my most recent Rogers purchase, I think that makes 26 or 28 kits in as many months. I believe this is how you learn.

Thanks for the input.

I just bought a Cleveland Rogers 5 piece today so this set is for sale. It has not been out of the cases since I posted this about a year ago.

I'll put it on eBay but if anyone here has an eye for this and wants to make me an offer before it goes to eBay, please feel free to post or PM me.

Buyer pays actual shipping, no more.

Thanks

If not for the B&B lugs, I'd be all over it.

Yeah, me too. LOL

I wasn't really aware of the B&B situation when I bought this set. I was actually looking for a cocktail outfit and ran into this.

I would still keep it but I just bought another Cleveland Rogers today and I absolutely am OUT of room. I am selling this Rogers and a Slingerland as soon as I can get them ready for eBay.

I really hate to get rid of this one but I just don't have the room for a set of drum that I don't play.

Well..... actually, I do. I have a storage unit but the hot and cold extremes are pretty wide. I wonder what a safe temperature range would be to store these? I doubt it gets below freezing and never above 90 F. , room for a good 20 or 30 more sets in my storage area if the temperature permits. LOL
